Distinguished Professor Marnie Hughes-Warrington AO is the lead for academic excellence at the University of South Australia, with oversight of the seven academic units—including budgets and workforce—UniSA Online, and the Teaching Innovation Unit.
Marnie promotes student and staff excellence through curriculum for social and economic strength, teaching excellence, and academic promotions governance and innovations.
As Standing Acting Vice Chancellor she is the lead for the Aboriginal Leadership and Strategy, Advancement, and Communications, Marketing and Domestic Student portfolios at the University of South Australia. In 2008 she was named the Prime Minister’s University Teacher of the Year. In 2022 she was made an Officer in the Order of Australia for her contribution to higher education governance, leadership, and mentoring.
