ATN and Tech Council of Australia Roundtable at Deakin

Opportunities for Research Commercialisation

ATN Universities is proud to be co-hosting a roundtable discussion on research commercialisation with our partners Tech Council of Australia (TCA) on 18 March at Deakin Downtown, bringing together leaders from universities and industry to explore practical ways to strengthen collaboration and accelerate research translation.

With Australia’s Strategic Examination of Research and Development highlighting the untapped potential of our world-class research sector, now is the time to focus on breaking down barriers and building stronger industry partnerships.

Executive Director (Interim), Frank Coletta, said the ATN team was looking forward to an insightful discussion with our partners and industry leaders. “By fostering open conversations and sharing real-world success stories, ATN is committed to driving innovation and translating great ideas into real economic and social impact and we are pleased to say that two of our senior leadership group, Dr Dee Halil (Programs Director) and Dr Janet Yeo (Policy Director) will facilitate two of the sessions on the day,” he said.

They will introduce Session 1: Setting the Scene & Celebrating Success which includes presentations from representatives from both Deakin and RMIT and Session 2: Identifying Challenges & Gaps in which TCA members and some of the biggest names in tech business will discuss common challenges in university–industry engagement and partnerships.
