
Adam Awty is the Chief Executive Officer of the Law Institute of Victoria and was appointed to the role in late 2018. Adam is an experienced membership association and not-for-profit executive who has extensive leadership, finance and company secretariat experience. Adam leads a team of around 100 staff at the LIV and has as his goals to strengthen the LIV’s services, deliver value for members and advocate for the legal profession and community. Adam is committed to innovation, collaboration and addressing major issues of concern to the profession, the justice sector and the broader community. Prior to joining the LIV, Adam spent eighteen years at CPA Australia including his last role as interim Chief Executive. Adam has also held number of board and board committee roles over the last 20 years across government and non-profit organisations. He is currently a director of legalsuper. He has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Monash University and is a Certified Practising Accountant.
