The Australian Technology Network of Universities (ATN) is delighted to welcome all international students back to our shores from today. For two long years, international students have endured challenging study circumstances due to the COVID pandemic and the closure of Australia’s international border.
While ATN universities have put in place best practice support systems, the return of students today means that their learning journeys re-commence and, equally importantly, they can rekindle their friendships with students who remained in Australia.
These past two years have reinforced the positive difference that international students make to our campuses and classes and their return today marks the start of our community welcoming back international students to our campuses.
Our ATN communities and Australian and international students and staff have all experienced the uncertainties and disruption that COVID-19 has caused. The return of our international students is a welcome step towards resuming normal campus life.
ATN universities look forward to welcoming all international students, both returning and commencing, in the 2022 academic year. We hope 2022 brings a renewed sense of optimism and our best wishes for a safe and happy time in Australia.
