The 2025 Universities Australia Solutions Summit has now wrapped up in Canberra, and it’s been a busy few days for the ATN Universities team in our national capital, which kicked off with Future Campus Brand Australia panels at the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia, followed by the ATN sponsored networking event.
We were so pleased to engage with our member universities’ Vice-Chancellors and other senior executives at the summit along with our Policy and Planning Groups, our senior leadership team – joining them at the National Press Club – and being on hand in The Great Hall at Parliament House to witness the successes of The University of South Australia and RMIT University at the Shaping Australia Awards.
The past week has brought together some of the best and brightest in higher education to discuss the biggest challenges facing the sector in 2025 and beyond. The speeches from Education Minister Jason Clare, Shadow Education Minister Senator Sarah Henderson, and former Labor Party leader and now University of Canberra Vice-Chancellor Bill Shorten made for fascinating dialogue after years of higher education reform and a federal election on the horizon. Congratulations to all involved and to those who work closely with us as a trusted voice in the sector.
Now we turn our attention to preparations for the annual ATN Symposium on Generative AI Graduate Skills and Employability (March 21). Be sure to register here.
