AUSTRALIAN HIGHER EDUCATION SECTOR LEADER APPOINTED NEXT GOVERNOR OF VICTORIA

The Australian Technology Network of Universities (ATN) congratulates Professor Margaret Gardner AC on her nomination as the next Governor of Victoria.
Prof. Gardner has had a distinguished career as a leader in Australian higher education, most recently as Vice-Chancellor of Monash University and also contributing to our own network of universities in her time as Vice-Chancellor of RMIT over 10 years, during which time she was also Chair of our ATN universities grouping.
ATN Executive Director, Luke Sheehy, said the appointment was a testament to Prof. Gardner’s national and international leadership.
“She will be a great champion for the state of Victoria, bringing decades worth of experience, leadership and a deep knowledge of internationalisation, to this important role.”
Prof. Gardner will commence her role as the 30th Governor of Victoria on Wednesday 9 August.
